Its very warm/humid day here in Buffalo,temps in the high 80's
In years past,I would go up to our community patio on the 9th floor to watch the firework displays from around the city
Tonight instead I'll be watching one of my favorite patriotic movies on TCM channel,'1776' which starts at 10 pm Sue

I've never been real heavy into celebrating any holidays. If I'm with a group I'll get involved with them just to be sociable but its not anything I'd initiate on my own. I try to enjoy each day as it comes along though. I haven't been online much or I'm sure I would have went over to the holiday thread and joined in.

I had a chance to celebrate with a few people today and I chose not to. They are not a real friendly group and I didn't feel that good anyways, was too tired, didn't get enough sleep so I took a nap instead...lol..if I had a backyard of my own I might celebrate with friendly folks, though. I used to celebrate with my family and then as they got older they got tired of it and then they moved. I still plan on joining the Senior Center and maybe there will be some celebrations again then. I don't know how that will go.
 
I am home alone for a few days as my husband went to our youngest son's to help him build a storage shed. He just called me and they are BBQing steaks and drinking beer now and watching the dogs play. I'm here at my house watching the EQ news on CNN, drinking water and talking to our 2 little dogs. I try not to feel sorry for myself as I know many are alone all the time.
 
Yes, I'm so glad to have my pets. They are nice company. I don't feel alone having them. But that BBQ and Beer sounds good! :LOL: 🍔 I could go for a nice hamburger!
