I've haven't been feeling all that chipper so I've not been posting....Ken telephoned to check up on me a little bit ago and I appreciate the concern from everyone.
There is no blood in my urine which my regular doc says he feels that means whatever my problem is it's not a stone.....he's taken blood twice and my PSA is normal which leads him to believe that it's not prostate related.
Thinking back to my last stone in 09' when they did a CT scan my urologist said that there was a small cyst on my kidney and he said lots of folks have them and not to worry about it......that's fine for him to say.
The constant discomfort that I'm experiencing feels like someone pushing their fist very hard into my kidney area and if i walk around (as opposed to laying down) the discomfort is more intense.....all I know for sure is that I'm pretty uncomfortable and not in the best of moods.
My urologist is off all next week but my CT scan is scheduled for this coming Wed. and then I finally get back in to see him for the results on the 25th......as opposed to just keep me hanging on I wish that he'd have referred me to someone else in his absence but what's done is done, he did tell me that if things got to be unbearable to go to the ER.
You know how a persons mind wanders in times like this and I'm thinking maybe the cyst (or whatever it is) on my left kidney has grown to the point that I'll need surgery to have it removed which means a somewhat lengthy healing time.
Of course my mind has also thought about the worst case scenario like a cancerous tumor, losing a kidney, dialysis etc. but I won't know diddly squat till the 25th.....I'm not afraid of what it may or may not be I just want to know what the hell the problem is and get it resolved one way or the other.
When I know for sure what is going on I'll update this thread.
