It seems England has welfare problems too.

All civilized countries have welfare problems, simply because some people choose to live their life on benefits, some have no choice, others need a 'net' because of sudden loss of income and many others have mental health problems. However, for some it has become a lifestyle 'choice' and they are very adept at milking the system for all they are worth!

Let us not forget ATOS who assess on behalf of social security regarding claimants ability to work and the mistakes they have made and the complaints made against them.

There are cheats but it's up to the agencies to spot them and cut them off. We cannot make the truly needy suffer in the meanwhile.

I completely agree.. Of course there will be cheats... However, unfortunately, some people use the few that are gaming the system for a rational to completely eliminate the welfare program forgetting that there are truly needy people... most times children and the elderly that need help.. It's nothing but mean spirited IMO.

Same as the US Oakapple. Then the subject of countries that have zero programs for their poor, India? I don't thing they do, but I could be wrong. I still have that picture in my mind of the film my "X" pastor and the bunch shot when they went to Calcutta, horrible.
