It was really useless...

When I first heard of it, I bought a set of mineral makeup. The powdery products were just plain awful. Worse, the "primer" was like spreading Elmer's glue all over one's face.

Fortunately it was one of those "try it for a couple of dollars," so I didn't waste too much money.

I got the great idea that I wanted a push lawnmower many years back... thought it would be just the thing for greater exercise! We already had our regular gas powered mower, but no! .. I wanted to do things my way ...lol...

Hubby bought it for me, and I think I got about 10 laps across the front yard before I realized that it really was a stupid idea. I may have gotten it out of the shed a few times after that, but for the most part, it lived in silence in that shed.

Same thing here...same idea. Push mower, great exercise. Ha, I ended up selling it for $40. I pd $35 for it.

I bought a couple of thermometers (made in China- just noting) when the Covid 19 first hit, thinking it would be a good idea to keep my own check on temperature. Just being cautious. Well, it said on the packaging that a 'beep' would go off to indicate a minute up for recording temperature. Had to check my watch because it seemed the thermometer was in my mouth for ever!!!!!! So:

1. A beep did not go off after one minute and in fact not at all and that was on both thermometers
2. After several goes with both thermometers, my temperature would always read exactly the same (maybe that is a good thing)

Have to add, that as the Covid 19 was reported here it was hard to get a thermometer so it was cheap and available. I like to make do and mend and find an alternative use for 'things' but failed on that one unless anyone has some bright ideas. 💡:giggle:

Oh- that reminds me.. as it can get awfully hot and stuffy in here, I decided to buy a fan to keep my electronics cool. It was advertised as a desktop fan, so I had no idea how small it was. Too small to be any use whatsoever.
Not wanting to repack it and pay postage to return it, I just stuffed it in a drawer.

I bought a Yugo. In case you don't remember what a Yugo is. It was a compact hatchback, built by that giant of automobile technology and craftsmanship, Yugoslavia. It spent more time in the shop than it did in my driveway. That's not an exaggeration. 4 days out of 7, it was in the shop. They spent more money fixing the damn thing than I did buying it. There is an intersection near me where 3 streets cross. I'd pull up at the light, and my Yugo would die. It did this multiple times. I can't tell you how nice folks are when your blocking every lane of traffic. One of the features of the Yugo was the rear window defroster. It served as a nice handwarmer, when you were pushing it to the curb.

LOL. If they'd made them with four doors, they could have called it a Wego (or we don't).
