BTW, if you think it's a great day for the World, please do some research on the Asian countries that are being affected by the Iran war and the blockage of the Strait of Hormuse. The "World" is not strictly some myopic bubble that only includes the US. Yes, it's a great day for the World. Right. :oops:

I agree with what David Brooks said on the PBS NewsHour this evening, that the Iranians are more likely to convert to Christianity than accept the current U.S. demands. And the one thing they said they'd never agree to, which is giving up their stockpile of enriched uranium, is pretty much the entire rationale stated for our waging war on them.
 
Oops, the Strait of Hormuz is closed again, by Iran,
because America will not lift its blockade of Iranian
ports!

Very sad, I believe that there are too many different
meetings, by too many different people.

It's not a great day for the world. Gas prices are not down. The stock market is not soaring. Gas prices are still much higher than they were before dictator want to be, decided to start a war. This is the same silly nonsense that you know who and his clueless followers spread, while totally ignoring what is really happening in our country. It totally boggles my mind why some people defend and spread his lies and fantasies.
 
I take my news from different sources and points of view therefore, I feel I can make up my own mind. By watching the foreign press I am able to get global information on the war situation. At home in the USA, I feel we are fed lies and constant contradictions. It is time to get rid of the chaos, greed, insecurities, and corruption.
Enough with the wars, invasions, and violence!
@seadoug I watched a few videos on the present and future situation in Asia and Africa. The situation is dire.
In Africa, they are running out of gasoline. The price of gasoline went up 40% in Mozambique.
In India, the food price takes 50% of their income. They all need fertilizer. The planting season is now until May, so it is critical to get it now.
They are fearing famine.
 

Helium prices are shooting up, a shortage is looming due to the Iran war. That might seem like minor news, right, because we might associate helium mainly—or at least I think—with balloon parties. But helium is also a rare substance used in hospitals, in the military, in space travel. And I think this is really just the beginning of all the bad news.

Yes, we have been a Father Abraham Tribute Band for over 20 years now, and quite successfully, especially his biggest hit, the Smurf song. Where do you guys come from? Where the Smurf houses stand. It is such a brilliant song, isn't it, how Father Abraham does it with that call-and-response structure.
And when we perform the song, I naturally play Father Abraham, and Johan Steven and Patrik here play the Smurfs.

Where the Smurf houses stand. Do you guys have your own language too? Yes, we all speak it. It didn't work at all, did it? Really, people were confused. They don't know what's going on. Uh, the magic of that Smurf is just totally gone.

Otherwise, just play open cards. Yes, maybe just briefly explain what's going on at the beginning. Why aren't your voices high? Because Trump is dropping bombs on Iran and Iran is blocking the Strait of Hormuz in response and attacking all sorts of countries in the region and because of that, helium imports are dry.

Do you guys have your own language too? Yes, we speak it and that was a total fiasco too, right? But then I got an idea because I thought the Smurfs' voices have to be higher than mine and if I can't get their voices higher then maybe I can just make my own voice lower and that can be done with sulfur hexaphrioride

For 47 years, we have heard their chant, “Death To America.” For getting an agreement, cease fire and opening the Hormuz Strait without fear would be quite a feat.

I never trusted this country to be truthful and standby what they agree to. I really do not center on geopolitics, but when items like lately become front and center on all the news channels and in some of the business journals, it’s hard to escape.

I couldn’t agree more. The Iranians have never been forthcoming with their true intentions. Their demands, which included them being allowed to enrich their uranium in 5 years is ridiculous. I think 20 or more years would be the safer number. However, if this would be the only sticking point, perhaps a 10 year freeze may be acceptable just for the sake of ending this conflict.

Whatever we need to do to help make the world a safer place is fine by me. We have several generations coming up in back of us and I am sure that they would enjoy living without the fear of having to go to war. War is a terrible thing.
