It's Friday! What are your plans for today/this afternoon/this evening?

No. That’s a popular misconception that emanated from a certain man in the USA.

Hmm...

This is from the UK medical journal The Lancet, hardly part of that "certain man's" fanbase:

"From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Public Health Agency, Folkhälsomyndigheten (FHM), embarked on a de-facto herd immunity approach, allowing community transmission to occur relatively unchecked.4 No mandatory measures were taken to limit crowds on public transport, in shopping malls, or in other crowded places, while recommending a limit of 50 people for gatherings5"

They say that one really good thing about this darn pandemic is that it has got some people outside walking who never did walk before the pandemic. Walking outside is something that is still allowed in most places & it's great for your health. It's not a big deal for me because I have been a big walker since high school. I love walking. However, not everyone does but the human body is made for walking. I believe it's just a case of "use it or lose it."

OMG!!!....so in reality all of us going through lockdown are going through it essentially for nothing because once we can all fly again, then people in the USA are going to be a real danger to us... and to themselves...

ETA..no need to reply to this .. it's not anyone's fault here.. so there's no justification needed by any single person.. I'm just shocked by that news..

Thank goodness our borders in Oz are closed to international travel and won't be open until probably until the end of the year!

But it’s laughable, in a way, since the UK virus is more spreadable, and is now in the USA. And that the USA originally got the European version of the virus, not the Chinese version. It’s not that we will be more dangerous to the UK or that the UK is more dangerous to us. It’s that everyone is more dangerous to everyone else.

As for people flying and spreading the disease, the various countries need to quarantine anyone coming into their countries for a period of time and quarantine anyone coming back into their country for a period of time. Get more reliable tests for COVID-19 and get people vaccinated.

Plus, everyone must wear a MASK for the love of all mankind, just put a dang mask on! I am for restricting travel for anyone who refuses to get vaccinated without a valid medical excuse and that includes travel between the states.

yes but I'm not talking abou flying now..we have a pretty good quarrantine here against flying in and out of the country at the moment while everyone is being vaccined.. but my concern is that if the USA ..or sweden for that matter doesn't.. when we the UK and all the countries are able to move freely again after vaccination we'll be mixing with people in the USA etc.. who have not been vaccinated...

Son coming to clean off my car and bring it back to my assigned parking space. I feel like I have to get out; I've been in the house or about a week or more. I could go to the grocery store, but I really don't "need" anything.

Stores are open here now, but limited capacity. I don't think theaters and the like are open. Gatherings are still discouraged.

My state's numbers have really dropped, but elsewhere not as well.

Yes, we have a quarantine as well, against people for the UK flying here or anyone else as well. But I am not understanding the vaccination concern. If your government can just say that unvaccinated people are not allowed in the country.

But I think you might be confused, or I might be, because vaccinations keep you from getting really sick and dying, they don’t keep you from getting COVID-19. They are supposed to keep you from giving it to others. But the vaccinations do not protect from all the variety of the COVID-19 viruses that are around.

I would be more worried about some one from Africa entering the UK with the African virus then someone from the US with the UK virus. stop picking on us 😩🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣.
