....Had a lovely day, it's now 8.30pm... not long home, just going to upload a a few pics.. here , and on the how was your day thread.. and the picture thread...

The surprise was high Tea.. on the first class Carriage of a Vintage Train, decked out in 1940's style.. even with 1940's music playing in the background..

Happy Birthday, @hollydolly, a bit late! 🥳 I hope you had a wonderful day. The high tea looks amazing. I have always wanted to try a formal afternoon tea, a full English breakfast, and a ploughman's lunch. Of course, I could try to whip those up here, but it would be nice to try authentic ones, in England.

No it's fine..it's still my birthday... another couple of hours yet...

This High tea was very special , on a real train from the 1940's complete with carriages and dining coach... the first class carriages were rivate, and that's what we had, and the dining coach was lovely but it was just like being in a restaurant, with other people.. so it was niice to have our own personal carriage, and we had 3 waiters.. ... everything had been pre-ordered by my daughter, she'd already been there earlier to put the flowers and gifts all on the table.. and every waiter knew it was my birthday and they welcomed me aboard with Happy Birthday wishes...

What a beautiful present from your daughter! I am glad you had a lovely special day, plus it looks like the weather was beautiful too. That looks like a wonderful experience!
 
Goodness, how did I miss your Birthday, hollydolly, hope you have many more happy birthdays to come. What great birthday photos, what a wonderful daughter. I wish I had healthy long hair like yours from your own photo that you posted.

thanks 's LT... yes I have quite long hair, .... these ictures In the last 12 months after each time its been trimmed...
