I live for October, but even September would hopefully be an improvement. Have you heard of Seasonal Affective Disorder? I heard there actually are people who experience that sort of disorder when it comes to summer in hot climates! According to psychiatrists, anyway. I think I'm close but not quite there. My sister definitely has it!

I am a native Texan. I have lived in a hot climate all my life and I love it. If I didn't love it, I'd move. Even on over 100 degree days, I can always get into my air conditioned car and drive anywhere I want [errands, restaurants, shopping, visiting friends, etc] Here, I can do the same in winter too [with very few exceptions.]

What I would hate... what would stress me out... would be stranded at home or dangerously outside or in a car in the ice, snow and bitter cold that can last for days in the dismal north. No, thank you.

After my brother retired from his 42 year science career at NASA Houston, he moved to the Arkansas Ozarks
[where he had gone to university] and urged me to move there too. There were three main reasons I would
not move there... 1) Too cold. 2) Too many state taxes [income tax, property tax and personal property tax]
3) It's not Texas :)
