It's snowing where I live.

Local meteorologists swore up and down we would NOT get snow out of this system but they called it wrong. Are you being snowed on? I really don't like snow, but especially not since I injured my groin shoveling a couple of years ago. I need to take it easy but the farmer's almanac is pointing to a bad winter for my area with heavy snowfall. I do hope they're wrong. I need some spring and summer pictures or pictures of tropical islands to overcome this. :ROFLMAO:

It’s snowing here, in Central New York, but a warm up is coming early next week.

A few of the local ski resorts are opening today and tomorrow with man made snow.

It amazes me how much fresh water they use to make snow. The manager of one of the larger resorts said that they had used over three million gallons in order to open a few trails this week.

The snow isn't as bad as the local news predicted, but they won't leave it alone. Like they want bad weather. They keep showing the same one area that had snow a few days ago

The city of Toronto has 1,460 snow plow and sander/salter trucks, plus 345 sidewalk tractor plows to clear 14,769 kilometers of roadways, 7,890 kilometers of sidewalks, and 954 kilometers of bike ways, during each snowfall event. Last winter the city's snow clearing fleet wasn't that busy, resulting in a 24 million dollar surplus, which has been rolled into this years snow fund.

Some dusting here overnight with lots of wind as the front went through. Temp is 20F with windchill making it feel like 5F. I think I'm going to light the wood stove soon. That will make the cats very happy. They will "melt" over the side of the hearth in no time falling asleep. I love to see their poses when they get to warm, but refuse to leave the stove ... except for food.

I still like the seasonal changes, even the cold & I haven't ever minded the snow. Especially now that I don't have to drive to work. I can sit back & just look out the window.

It's very cold for the time of year here. Maybe lots colder this winter is a thought.
