My part-time job substituting at the elementary school seems to be full-time lately but today I was so happy to be done at noon. The skies are brilliant blue and although there's still snow here & there it's really warm out there. I must show you what's happening on my beach today.
The herring are spawning. The white cloud you see at the water's edge is nearly solid with milt to fertilize the eggs.

The sea birds know what's going on too. There was a a huge cloud of them before bullet got involved. They can be heard chattering and arguing even with the doors closed

Once the tide went out all the seaweed was covered with pretty little jewels.

I have a big pile of brush to burn on the beach this evening if anyone wants to join me.
