Last night's Waxing Crescent Moon taken from my back door last night. I noticed it as I was letting the cat out and grabbed my camera

I have always had a "crush" on our moon. Beautiful, -oy-, so lovely.

"Silver circle in the silent sky
For all of history you have watched over us
And guided our paths in the dark of night
We whisper to you our secrets
Our hopes, and fears, and dreams.
Grant us your blessings on this night
And light our way into the time to come.”

There's no shame in being an amateur everyone starts from the beginning. If you like what you do it's all good :)
Also - some of the best photographers I know are 'Amateurs' and some of the worse are 'Pros' who are lazy and do just enough to get paid.
At the end of the day, if you have a vision and you achieve it - don't let anyone tell you it's wrong!

The moon is 4 times bigger (wider) than the Earth.... put that into context... that's the same difference between the UK and Spain... Spain is 4 times larger than the uk... with only 2/3rd of the population of the UK

Where did you get that from?

It's the other way around. The Earth is 4 times wider than The Moon.

The moon can appear in many different colors depending on atmospheric conditions or even filtered by pollution.
