Its valentines day,today

Yes- we all should celebrate Valentine's Day!!!!
I am planning to make a nice meal, my neighbor is coming over later for dinner and I made a bundt cake, and am staying inside today- after I put out my garbage. It is only 18 degrees here and we had about an inch of snow last night with a little more predicted.(southern tier NYS)

My brother sent me a beautiful grape vine wreath, shaped into a heart with artificial roses on it, to put on my front door.
I still have some of the Valentine gifts my husband gave me long ago and it can be a sad day for some of us widows BUT our deceased spouses would want us to be Happy.

Years ago I dreaded going to a Valentines dinner locally, but a widow sat next to me and we became friends ever since, and we both had a good time at the dinner. 🥰

Well, some will probably think we're old misery guts, but we don't bother with things like Valentines day, Easter, Mother's day etc.. These celebrations might once have had more significance, but now they're largely money making opportunities.

At least today is the day that Mrs.L gets her state pension so that's something to celebrate :love:
