It's Wifty Day!

Normally, I'm half way with it. But, today, I woke up wifty. It's when you're looking for your socks, and you find them in your left hand. I had to call my MD for a refill, and I couldn't remember the last 4 digits of my telephone number I've had for 30+ years. I dropped a dozen eggs on the floor. Set the clothes dryer for 50 minutes, but forgot to put the clothes in it. It's just one of those days when your mind is on vacation.
Do you ever have wifty days?

Sometimes have to stop myself from, say, putting sugar in the teapot instead of the cup. Or open the fridge door and realise, no that's not where the kettle goes. Luckily doesn't happen too often. Probably because I'm thinking of something else and kind of acting on some kind of autopilot

I saw the effects of dehydration with my mother-in-law. She would be showing signs of Alzheimer’s, and we took her to the hospital once when she fell. They gave her an IV of liquids because they said she was dehydrated. The next day she was so coherent I couldn’t believe it.

The downside was she would always tell me, she “did not like the taste of water“ 🙄

and she preferred her Jack and Coke 🙄

What is that old saying? You can lead a horse to water but can’t make them drink?

I loved and respected my mother-in-law very much.
She was just very stubborn at times.
😊💕
