Actually, they re not really cuddle buns. Think squirrels with extra fur. Because of their thick fur, they cannot get wet. They use special dust baths to clean.
Average age can be 8 + years. She lived 9.
Here is a short vide of them bathing The special dust gets all the oils off their skin. Then they shake it off

When I was in middle school and longer I wanted to have my own menagerie. But most are hard to keep alive and thriving. That's why I moved on to the plant kingdom. You can make so many happy and looking good, and no matter how many new ones blow my socks off I know there'll always be another stunner coming up soon.
