After a career in the military, I don't even want to know how many houses I've lived in. In the past 30 years after my retirement from the Army, I've lived in 8 U.S. states, owned 8 houses (not all at the same time), rented at least 5 apartments and one house, and they're gonna have to drag me out of this house in a pine box.

Just not going to move anymore.

It's a good thing my parents can't see how deteriorated the first house has become. I looked it up on the county tax records and it's now owned by an LLC company. Why they don't do anything with it is beyond my understanding.

..and this is why I've lived in so many houses..first my childhood, then as a Navy Wife....

Probably because they invested in the property (long term), not the house.
