I've never eaten it but....

Salmon roe (fish eggs) on sushi (rice) is one of my all-time favorites.

One time my cousin in Vienna fed me a meat he later told me was horse meat. I will NEVER forgive him for that. And NEVER again!

I would also like to try the durian fruit. Although the smell is disgusting they say, that's just the outer part. The inside is said to be like a creamy, sweet and delicious custard.

Collards are great. We grew them in our front yard, and the plants produced for many years. The giant leaves lend themselves to being filled and rolled, or you can cut them into strips and gently saute in a premium grade extra virgin olive oil along with mushrooms and onions.

Squid!!!!! How is it?

Prepared correctly, it is great. Do it wrong and it is chewy and rubbery. My brother, a great cook said the secret was to saute it in a bot of tomato, for either a minute or an hour. He was not joking. Cooking it wrong is what messes it up. Deep fried is great. But go somewhere like an Italian restaurant where they know how to make it right

I have heard that to. I was watching a you tube video by an American guy living in China with his Chinese born wife. They were showing some Chinese fruits and vegies and she was explaining them. Durian was one they tried. If I can fid the video again, I will have to post it here some where. They have made a few discussing their food culture differences.

I love watching YouTube videos like that.

I'll pass on the Durian, this is Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre Foods who eats a lot of unusual foods from around the world.

Thanks to C'est Moi and AprilT for the info. Will definitely have to give crab a try at some point. Some of the other things mentioned on this topic, maybe not :playful:. Don...
