After over 100 years of police and intense speculation about Jack the Ripper , he has finally been conclusively identified by the use of DNA.
This amazing discovery came after a shawl that belonged to one of the Ripper's victims was found to also contain DNA that belonged to the murderer. The person found to be the Ripper was one of the main original suspects, and they tested the DNA of both the family of the murder victim, and the family of the suspected killer, in order to find out if one of them was actually Jack the Ripper.

As much as I am fascinated by this the conspiracy side of this tells me the royals want to deflect from their apparently perverted ancestors. But it looks legit at first glance.

It makes you wonder. I have always wished they'd solve the coldcase on the Black Dahlia in LA, I think it was LA.

48 Hours Mystery did an excellent episode on this. They lean towards it being a doctor. The doctor's son, a former cop makes the case. It's probably available on the CBS website.

I didn't remember hearing that, saw a movie within the last few years about it was all. I will take a look to see if I can find the article. I was thinking about what you mentioned about the "royal" fan-damilly, and was wondering why they would even care now about their ancestor, but I suppose if I were "royal" I might give a hoot;) Come to think of it, I don't think I'd be happy about finding one of my ancestors was a Hanibal Lector, or whatever that guys name was in the movie, LOL!
