January 4th is my big day

Leave for Palo Alto on January 3rd and will have my Cochlear Implant Activated with the Kanso Sound Processor at 9 AM on the 4th. All recipients of implants are different as to just what they will hear and how well at activation. Adjustments called MAPPING must be done at this time and in follow up visits with the AUDIOLOGIST. My hope is that I will be able to hear sounds and speech with some degree of clarity. I will let you know the results.

I only know one person, personally, who has gone through this. It sure made a positive impact on their life!
