Japanese paper money advise

Does anyone here have a knowledge of worth for some Japanese paper money. I have been going through some of my dads personal stuff and found some money when he was in the service. I believe Japan and Philippines money.

I could post some pictures of the money if someone could help me out to find it's worth.

Hi Street. Try googling "vintage japanese paper money" and see if there is a website that can give you information. Or, after googling it, click on "Images" at the top. When you see something close to what you have then click on it and it will take you to it's website. I did that and there were lots of pics of old japanese money.

Take them to a numismatist and hand have them identified.

I remember that my dad had a wooden box stuffed with some sort of Japanese money that he brought back from the occupation. We used it as play money. My father said it was more valuable as toilet paper than as money in Japan at the time. They kept printing it and printing it and there was nothing to back it up, so it was worthless.

I will give that a try again. I live in a very rural setting but in a larger city I would imagine there would be someone that would take a look at it for me.
