The population in Japan has shrunk by about one million people in 5 years since 2010. Cities still gaining population.

Population growth peaked by 1950 and started shrinking by 1975. Many are worried about future economic impact.

So with a shrinking population they seemed to have experienced huge economic success from the late 1970s until about the late 90s. They are still trying to get that back.
 

Send them some of the hundreds of thousands streaming into Europe and the US.!

Buddhists and Muslims together under one big tree? Who knows, might find something in common with the Samurais.
