Jerks At Work

Seriously, I'm sick of it. Sometimes people treat me like I'm stupid. Yesterday I get to work. The lap top won't work unless it's plugged in. I'm like no way, I can't function like this. I need the lap top to move with me. I ask the office manager (most other office staff is not there yet) if she knows of an extra lap top after I trolled for and couldn't find one.

She tells me I can use this one because there are "a million plugs down the hall." That was f-ing it!!!!! I told her not to talk to me like that and to not push back at me when I state there's a problem. There were not "a million" plugs. There was the one up front and one at the end of the (long) hall I told her. She literally went to look and realized I was right. She found me a computer.

Sick of these cigarette smoking clique a-holes.

I retired happily at 53.5 years. I have enjoyed over 22 years of happy traveling and doing what I want to do. I would never go back to work and "suck it up" to some boss with tatoos, purple hair and playing rap music in the office. Oh no, I am traveling right now in Alaska and living my dreams and living my life. Good bye cruel world. I'm not off to join the circus but I'm sure gonna see Chicken and Homer, Alaska.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I'm now 62 but don't feel I can retire yet. I get no sympathy from my stepfather who retired from a local government job at 55 with a partial disability due to his hearing loss and a nice pension.

I'm tired! This woman is probably not significantly younger than I am but she can be bitchy and cliquey. There are people who won't even say hi to me. Some people are very nice. I'm tired of them and everything.

Same here. Some won't say hello or even acknowledge being spoken to. Some are just mean. Some are cliquey. Some treat us older people like we're too slow and stupid to be there doing our jobs. However, we do better quality work and we show up.
