Jesus Christ Superstar, the rock opera is the next love performance to be on NBC. It will be shown on Easter Sunday, April 1st, 2018
It stars John Legend as Christ; Sara Barellis as Mary Magdaline and Alice Cooper as Herod. They are the only cast members announced so far. I wonder who will be playing Judas?
I am sure there will be those who object to Legend as Christ, because he is black.....but to be historically accurate, he will look more like Jesus than as usually shown, as a light skinned man.
I always loved the music, and look forward to seeing it.
