Like everyone who lived through this, I can tell you exactly what I was doing the moment the news was released. Thank Goodness, the Beatles very quickly came along after that. What a Rush! Changed me in an instant. Changed Everything.

I am glad the rest of the files will be released.
Donald Trump says he will release unredacted JFK assassination files Tuesday

There's a video of an interview with a guy in prison who claims he was one of the shooters and delivered the killing shot (from the stockade fence at the top of the grassy knoll) that we see in the Zapruder film.

Of course, the FBI discredits his story.

It has been long believed that the Mafia wanted him dead after he left them high and dry in the Bay of Pigs fiasco. The guy in the video says he was involved in training people prior to that invasion and understood why the mafia wanted the President dead.

Whatever information forthcoming from these files probably are not even germane to today's problems regarding presidential assassinations. Of course, it will be used as a history lesson for those who simply are convinced of whatever tale suits them.

It was a terrible and shocking time, and all I could think of was those 2 little children he left behind.

I was never convinced of a second or 3rd shooter at all. Oswald did it, but with the Ruby connection, someone else masterminded it all. Remains to be seen.

I always believed, still do, that Oswald was the only shooter. I feel Russia was somehow the cause. Those Russians. Soviet Union connection, not Mafia, don't believe Mafia involved. The Jack Ruby element, which I saw on TV, now that's interesting. I do believe Ruby was Mafia related. I'm confused. I was 14, a sophomore in high school, when I bothered to attend. What do I, or any of us know. Like @Lewkat I don't see major revelations.

Kennedy. Camelot. Two children left behind, a lovely widow. Sad. Thank goodness for the Beatles.

Like all who were of age when this happened, we still have questions unanswered. This may close the book on most if not all of this! I look forward to it, I never believed that one gun/ shooter was it! Anyone that has heard the details about the number of shots and the angles the bullets traveled, the 'one shooter' from the window just does not work.

We will see...it is about time we closed the book on this...

It won't close the books just enough information for more books.

Those involved were obviously powerful and had the capability to pull it off. Not just the smarts but they had their people, networks, money etc to actully pull it off. People like that more than likely will be able to keep the cover up going.

It will be interesting to read. I do not believe they will reveal the true event of what happened. Too many theories and some are more believable than others. Guess we will all know what it contains if we are interested in the data.

It was a very sad day and wish it had not happened.

Whatever, it should be released. Holding on to it is ridiculous. This event shaped the young lives, like mine, of those who witnessed. We need to see it, even if it contains nothing new or different. Enough is enough, release the Cracken oops the Whole Report.
The truth should have never been withheld..for what, to protect the guilty, to keep society from reacting in a way that the "authorities" deemed undesirable?
Maybe the unredacted Epstein files could be made public as well...

If it is shown that Oswalt didn't kill him then there's no reason for tourists to pay to enter the Texas Book Depository Museum. So they have to keep the story they're selling or risk losing revenue.
And look at all the books, movies, TV documentaries they get to make. It's been a million dollar industry to talk about what happened.

I never really had an interest in the case until circumstance drew me in. On my honeymoon, we went to Washington DC on a whim. We visited the Capitol, the Washington Monument (which looks down on the baseball field where the "Day The Earth Stood Still" landed their flying saucer}, and ultimately we went to see Arlington Cemetery on the advice of some we met.

There I saw the Kennedy gravesite all covered in a marble memorial engraved with his many quotes. After that, I found myself paying attention to these many documentaries that pretended to present evidence for your consideration as if you might figure it out.

Fast forward about 20 years and I end up in Dallas/Fort Worth for training for work and I convince my travel partner and driver to go to Dealy Plaza.

I don't know what I expected. The documentaries analyzed Dealy Plaza from every conceivable angle. And like I said, you think that's some way of solving the mystery. But when you stand there, you get nothing. Just an empty and sad feeling that people were able to murder the President in front of the whole county and get away with it.

But it completed my tour of President Kennedy from grave to crime site.

Then I recently watched the interview with the guy who claims to have been a shooter from the grassy knoll. As he talked about that day in Dallas, you realize that it's no mystery at all what happened. The Zapruder film showed us all what happened.

By the time the lengthy interview with the shooter was over, you had the creepiest feeling because the story was told by a cold blooded killer who saw what he did as just a job to be done. It's scary to hear how freely a group of killers and others moved about Dallas in the time leading up to the killing.

I was going through an old file cabinet I had put in our storage closet and came across the Daily News with the headline JFK Assassinated. I knew I had it, but hadn't looked at it in a while. I was sweeping when it came over the news and I had to go sit down. I'll never forget that dreadful day. I wonder how much of the report will be redacted.

I agree Nathan. As a kid, was very distressed to find out reports may not be fully disclosed till I became dead, and that really upset me back then. Was hard for a kid to think of own demise, and being cheated out of information we deserved to have. Who were they protecting?

I have the same newspaper report. I saved it, put it in my photo album.

Who was this guy? I never heard of this guy. Is he dead now? Did anyone take him seriously?

Wow, you could see old ads & stuff. I only saved the entire article.
That's what makes old articles really interesting because it represents what else was going at the time even if a sale at the local supermarket.

Also by saving the entire paper beside taking up more space and adding weight to a box again what else was going on then. Same for the assassination. What other events happened around that time. Could be a clue there. And early reports sometimes have information that one won't find later.

An example might how far in advance was Kennedy's motorcade route published or released. Was that in the paper the day of or before?

*I've saved entire papers myself for a few events and can't wait to sell or get rid of them. I got rid of alot vhs or vcr recordings of shows years ago when they cameout with hi def versions of shows & movies. It's not the shows I miss but the commercials and promos for other shows.

This video showed up on my YouTube channel. I don't remember the name of the video and I certainly didn't feel the urge to share it since it is hard to watch. I think it was close to an hour long.
I remember that the name he goes by is changed from his original name. He also would only answer questions about what he was doing and not reveal the names of others involved out of fear for his own life. He did say that Oswalt was showing him around Dallas some days prior and also took him to a gun range where he could practice.

Search "kennedy shooter interview" on YouTube. I got 3 results showing the guy each is a different length.
