John Amos - Surprise appearance on "Good Times" last night

I really enjoyed seeing him. He played a different role; looks good at 79.
I remember him as the dad James Evans, as Kunta Kinte in "Roots" (lost his foot ), and I think he was a regular on "West Wing".

I watched that show last night and loved all the performers in it. After it was over "All in the Family"came on. Woody Harrelson played Archie,Marissa Tomei played Edith and Kevin Bacon was in it. Both shows were great. The only problem was 2 times during the show a news break would come on to announce the votes for the impeachment of the President Trump.

I read the book "Roots" but never got to see it.

The actress who played Thelma is a beauty - she's Jamie Foxx's daughter IRL.

JJ/Jimmie Walker has not aged well. He is 72, only 7 yrs younger than John Amos.

John Amos had been involved in some projects in my city and Plainfield N.J. But I never saw him when he came to town. I meant to watch the show. I'll have to see if I can find it on a streaming venue. I loved him in Coming To America too....one of my favorite movies. He has aged well.

Yeah...We know who was the real ruler. LOL Madge Sinclair was so regal in that part. Too bad she's gone.
