Judy Garland my favorite singer ever

When I was just 14, while all my friends watched the newest movies, I was watching old musicals. I loved Judy Garland. I read everything I could in books I bought and watched all her movies. I think it was from watching The Wizard of Oz so much. I saw the new movie Judy the other day at the theaters. Renee did pretty good I think. I cried at the end. Judy just wanted to be loved. I would have loved to see her in concert. Has anyone known anyone to have seen her in concert or met her? Ps. My granny, she’s 96 now, worked at MGM for a little bit and had a autograph book of stars. She threw it out many years ago. ugh. I wish I had it. 😄

I'm glad you made this thread because I've been wondering how people reacted to Renee Zellwenger using her own voice to do the legend Judy Garland's amazing voice. I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm wondering if I'll be disappointed when I hear Renee's voice since singing has never defined her career...except maybe the movie Chicago with Catherine Zeta Jones. I remember she sang a lot in that one and sounded fine.

Renee did great. She didn’t come close to Judys booming voice but I liked that they let her sing.
