Last night was the 1st time in 10 days I had a blanket on my bed,didn't have to put the fan on
On my early walk this morning at 6:30, to buy Bflo News, refreshingly cool temp for a change was 65.After I came back,watered the plants/flowers in our community garden,walked up 3 flights of stairs to my apt
I'll take a mid morning walk,rest of my day read the paper,my book this afternoon have my weekly 'family zoom' meeting,perfect way to end my day
 

End of the weekend already, just where does the time go... I mean every day is the weekend, but the weekend still goes by too quickly... Well, we got a good 45-minute downpour last night, but my lawns still look and feel like straw... Well, tomorrow sumtime, I am hoping to start building my utility trailer... 7 X12'... That's about all that is going on... Keep Safe... and God Bless!!
 
Yesterday, I went to Sonny's house (my bf) and he cooked burgers on the grill. It was nice and not too hot so we ate on the deck. Then we watched Pawn Stars on tv. I got home around 8ish. I went to bed early so am up early today. No plans for today. Having coffee now, enjoying the quiet.

This morning around 6:40 went on my early walk was refreshingly cool 60.When I came back watered the plants in our community garden
This morning,I'll be doing my weekly call to 16 Canopy of Neighbors members to see how they are doing.It usually takes 1hr 15 min,sometimes members want to talk longer which is ok
I hope to take my mid morning walk afterwards
No other plans for the day except read NYT during lunch,read my book after a nap,tackle NYT crossword puzzle after dinner
 
Wanted to share this.....Good comes to those who wait.
In December 2018, lost connection with the Love of my Life and soul mate, for an unknown reason at the time.
This past Sunday i received a message from him.
Everyday contact since then.
Won't go into the details for the absence right now.
6 ft 2in, blue eyes, Dutch, the most amazing gentle soul.
 
Same things going on as usual, walking the dog, taking care of the pet family, doing household chores, cooking, eating, etc.

Jasmine bird was really acting badly with screaming loudly at Alice whenever she would try to eat and Alice became afraid to eat. It got really bad so I separated them for a day putting Jasmine in another cage for a whole day. I let her back out this morning and she and Alice reunited and Jasmine seems to be acting better now. What an ordeal it was, though. The racket Jasmine was making was unbelievable!

So, everything is back to "normal" now here.

I'm going to get the oil changed on my car. Trying to figure out where I'll take it. Thinking of the 5 minute oil change place where you stay in your car and it's done quickly.
 
Yesterday, we received an order from Amazon. We ordered fitted sheet and hoped they would be okay. With our split king bed, we need two twin bottom sheets,one large top sheet and two pillow cases. We are very happy with them and worth the money. We got a light blue set.

Today, up at 5:45 and took a nice walk. Temp was 75 degrees and a pleasant breeze. Took this photo and in that dark cloud, over the ocean, I watched lightning in the cloud. It was amazing to watch it. So far away. Life is good... :giggle:

Have the same kind of bed, split king.....mine is adjustable....is yours.
 
Recovered from 'vacation'.
Today in my neck of PA,, was cloudy with temp in the 70s,, bit of a breeze , too.
After I got my body up & running,, thought,,"I can't let all those blue berries got to waste."
Think we have 6 mature bushes, mature in this case means the are at least 4 foot tall.

Suited up in large floppy hat, long sleeve shirt ,shorts & shoes.
Put my gallon container in plastic bag to catch the ones that missed landing in container.
Spend couple hours filling the container,, came in washed & sorted berries.

Kept out enough fro a pie & gave a quart to hubby's cousin.
His wife has bad hips & can't get around well.
 
On my usual early walk this morning around 6:30,saw 4 people out&about,none wearing masks
I walked 2 blocks over to my close friends,Marcia&Dave's house,dropped off in their mailbx an interesting article in Sat's Wall St,Journal about Tiffany Lamps I continued on my walk.
When I returned,watered the plants/flowers in our community garden I do almost every day unless its raining
This morning,my weekly call to Canopy of Neighbors members to see how they are doing
I plan to take my mid morning walk after talking with them,no other plans for the rest of the day
 
Beautiful sunny morning to wake up to. After taking some time, thinking about my raised garden project, have finally decided on the location.
Have 3, 4X4 ft frames, 15 inches high.
Will use Roundup to kill the grass, for the fact, that it's a lot of grass to dig up.....but will dig up some grass around them, put small stones around them, so any vine veggies can crawl over the edge instead of taking up dirt space in the frame.
So i'm a bit more settled, now that my plan is decided.
Love new projects outside.

I had mine changed the other day at the Valvoline place here. It's a wait in your car fast place. I think that's the best way to go.
 
Trying to muster up the energy to get some things done today. I don't know if it's physical or mental as to why I have little energy lately. I have some weekly goals, though, and try to get things done.

Need to do some laundry--the mattress covers and sheets and clothes, too.

Took the dog out early and hope to again this evening when it's cooler.

Today its been p.sunny high in the low 80's
This morning on my early walk at 6:45,it was 65,refreshing,saw 5 ladies out running,3 had masks on
I took the bus this morning,went to Target bought couple items,got home within an hr
After lunch instead of going on my afternoon walk,I walked down stairs to the basement to get my mail,my next door neighbor,Pat's like always do,walked back upstairs to my apt on the 3rd floor

At 8:15,I'll be walking 2 blocks over to my close friends,Marcia&Dave's house.Marcia&I will be taking family dog,Aker aka'my buddy boy' for his 1st walk of the day.
This afternoon,I may sit outside in the shade with my neighbor Pat or read my book because its going to be another hot/humid day here
