July is National Ice Cream Month!

Now THAT'S MEAN !
I don't think that mom who said that was mean (i took it to be her joking). I can certainly empathize with her if she was serious. I had 4 kids ages 1, 2, 4, and 6. Getting them down for an afternoon nap was like a well orchestrated ballet. Just when you finally succeed, the ice cream truck comes and all hell breaks loose. We lived in a neighborhood at that time when he would sometimes come twice.

I never see those ice cream trucks anymore. I'll bet they had too many complaints for disturbing the peace via noise. Not to mention having to decide "yes" or "no" everyday and finding change everyday.

Plain old chocolate (ice cream). Don't want to find out there is anything better than that. It's hard enough just to resist that.

Why does the U.S. Have all the best ice creams? Not fair at all.We hardly have anything by comparison. ditto for donuts, and just about anything naughty but yummy.

I've never felt deprived of ice cream or sweets in the UK. Of course, my favourite ice cream is a US import - Ben & Jerry's.

Well, I have to say that I don't like Ben and Jerry ice cream, having tried a couple, and that doesn't leave much choice other than vanilla, chocolate , strawberry, toffee and mint.

My favourite has vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chunks, and a core of caramel.

Best ice cream here is Haagen Daz - all pure ingredients, just milk/cream and sugar and flavor. My favorite is strawberry.

Unfortunately, Ben & Jerry's is delicious but has a lot of dubious ingredients. No matter though, I still love the Cherry Garcia.
