Just curious. How many other forums are you a member of?

R.I.P. With Us In Spirit Only
I guess I don't get around much anymore. I have been on the net since 1996 with Win95. I modded on a Bianca board back in 98. I visited many forums, blogs over the years but this is the first forum I have used exclusively. I wonder how many other forums, blogs you members are involved with currently?

Currently 2 or 3 other than our board. Have scurried about over many years on maybe 10 others, several sports, shooting forums, technical. imp

I have belonged to three other forums for 15 years or more. One is a Financial/investing Forum, another is a Medical Forum & another is a International Forum similar to SF.

Been on several but now only this one and one other; a small one with just old time members.

We just lost one yesterday due to the big "C". Sad. :(

Sorry, Falcon. :(

I’ve wondered, if a forum member dies how do others in the forum find out? (Maybe the person gives family member someone's email addy - ?)

I'm sorry Falcon. I used to visit a book site regularly and one member got very chatty. I remember best him coming up with the perfect title for my 17 year old boy's birthday. One day his son posted how much his Dad had enjoyed our group but that he had passed on two nights earlier. Weird in the world of the internet. Someone can write regularly from Scotland and you've never met them face to face. But it's still like you've known them for years. So sorry for your loss.

5 golf forums... 1 of those I post to daily. The others, not nearly as often.
2 political forums... only post to 1 of those regularly.
2 local gossip/issue forums... post to both of those.
2 Ram truck forums

This is the only forum I regularly participate in now.

Belong to 2 others:

-goat health forum. A member for over 10 years. Only contribute if it's an emergency and the gurus are all offline.

-diet and weight loss forum. Ten years. At one time a very active group, now only 3 regular posters (too complicated to explain ;))

I belong to this one where I get the chance to engage with people from all over the Anglosphere. Most but not all members are Americans

Another one where most of the members are Aussies and it has been describes as a nest of leftie vipers.
Mostly we gripe about Tony Abbott and the current government.

Finally, another very small forum where I have the pleasure of arguing/debating/locking horns with a long time protagonist who managed to get herself banned from this forum. We argue the toss about politics, climate change, asylum seekers and anything else one of us raises to provoke the other. It's all very friendly but mostly a two person interaction.

I'm also active on Facebook and twitter.

I'm a member of two others but they are both single interest forums and I only post sporadically when I have a question or can answer a question.

Several photography forums, a couple motorcycle forums, one shooters forum, two or three RVers forums, and several writer/literature forums. Most of them were at one time very active and full of useful information but after a peak, most seem to go into a skid and people move on. I'm not really active on any of them anymore but have a couple I check in once in a while. They're clinging to life and I hope they make it but I'm thinking about getting down to no more than three forums that I will be active on.

This question has been asked several time....I'm on here occasionally and on a central Florida forum.
On Prodigy I had my own website that was called "MarriageGoRound for 4 years with 600 members.
I have a private forum now with approx. 260 members on Facebook that is doing quite well.

I am in a few Facebook groups, one with over 12,000 members from the city I consider my California hometown, even though I don't live there anymore. I am active in a group where we just post crazy chicken jokes although we have branched off into other humor now. I'm in a Facebook group called neighborhood and then my zip code. It's pretty handy now that I am in So. Calif. and the 130,000 acre wildfire is getting close to my house. :( The locals really keep me up to date. I'm going home Monday and if the smoke is too heavy I'll come back to LA. I was in a few forums but I am no longer active in them and plan to look for one or two more when I have time. I would like to be in a good forum on natural health or alternative medicine and one or two on paranormal, metaphysical, psychics, mediums, UFOs, etc.. BUT something about those subjects seems to attract a few self-righteous, wantabe gurus and what not so I always get fed up and drop out!
