If I'm not mistaken, on this forum's software update your status means just you posting a new post on your profile page. I just tested it myself to be sure, simply post something new on your profile page. The 'update status' just makes it sound more complicated.
No Wren, that's a Custom User Title. If you click on your name at the top right of the page, go to Account Details. Just under your banner (if you have one), there's a space for a custom title. I just looked and you haven't added a banner yet in your profile.Thank you Pappy and Sea Breeze, I thought it may have been connected with the description below a member’s avatar like, ‘Living the dream’ or ‘Endlessly Groovin’ ‘SF VIP’ etc.
I may be wrong, but it seems like members with over 10,000 posts have that title as a default, the ones who have less don't have it. I don't know for sure, maybe @Aunt Marg or @Matrix will confirm that.
I wish I knew offhand and had an answer, but I don't, however, I'll run the question by Matrix, and just as soon as I hear back will post a response to right here.
Personally, I much prefer the option of adding ones very own slant to a title as SeaBreeze, and others like myself have done.

Status, in this case, is just whatever level of posting we've each done here, and not meant to be good or bad, is my interpretation.
I think it is simply a part of the software and not chosen by this site.
It probably just comes with the program, given as the default options,
if we do not choose to put in our own Custom banner saying. We can each do that, if we want to.
(If we think of one, and if we figure out how to follow the directions to do it. )
That tag is only meant to let people know if you've been an active posting member for a long time, and solely goes by number of posts. We know the members better, who post more.
