A few simple questions like....What is my birth day, or what is the name of YOUR dog, will quickly show the caller you are not taking the bait.I have no conversation at all with telemarketers or nonsense like this as I do not want to give the opportunity to record my voice. I will answer suspect calls with a āhelloā in a voice not my own and as soon as I can, I hang up.

Yes it feels bad to say 'no' to them, but I get through it by asking if they are a 501c3 charity and then they say they aren't, and I say I only donate to 501c3 charities.I felt horrible when I had to say no to donating to a Police organization request.
