The Sticks, Northeast PA.
It's after Xmas and all the credit card balances are "O". Yeah! It's time to rack up some bucks in the old savings account. Except that it's 15 degrees outside, and the furnace decided to conk out. The furnace guy comes, and let's face it, it going to cost. Yup, $634.88. My cat's $7 med is running out. I call to get a refill. But he can't just get a refill without some blood work. So, off to the vet, and $202.00 later, he gets his $7 refill. Didn't have time to cook, so got some fried chicken. I thought I was munching on crunchy fried chicken, but it turned out to be fried chicken bone. Broke the front tooth of my denture. And it cost $176 to glue it back on. And it's only Thursday.
Any more "savings" and I'll be broke.
 

awww, Fuzzy..I'm sorry you had one of those kinda weeks. It seems like the force isn't with us sometimes.. :darth:
I remember a bad week when my stove, water heater, and a/c went out (it was in the hot summer, of course).
 
Yeah. Let me hold your hand and pat your back. I think we all hear you. The trouble with growing old "in place" is that the place is in its senior years too. Hoping to die before my roof does. Hang in there, Fuzzy.
 

Sorry Fuzzy, hopefully next week will be better. Try to remember that sometimes when good things happen they happen in bunches too. You had to go and mention fried chicken so now I want some KFC. :)
