Having hosted my own websites at different times over the years, plus been a mod/admin on others, I’m aware of what goes on to keep a site up and running, deal with tech glitches, members’ complaints or tech queries, coding and the like.

Matrix is cool. I think most of us appreciate a light touch on the moderation side of things. We're old enough and grumpy enough to police ourselves (on most occasions).

I've been suspended a couple of times by Matrix. No hard feelings, though. I can be a bit cheeky from time to time.
