Justin Trudeau has resigned as the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, effective today.

The media seldom mention how deep in bed Trudeau and his people have been with the WEF and its agenda. It sounds like his party is lining up another WEF operative to replace him right now.

When JT spoke at Davos:
Billionaire George Soros attended the session and when I asked him after the speech what he thought about Trudeau he said, “I liked him” — fulsome praise. Another, a wealthy Canadian businessman from Western Canada, commented slightly grudgingly that “he’s listening to his advisers, and that’s good.”

There is a lot to clean up before Canada recovers. The people deserve better. Much better.

Best to you. Its most likely a harsh life if you're in the sticks and not in a home near other citizens.
Thanks for the good-luck wish. I guess there are "sticks and "sticks" in rural Canada, sometimes surrounded by farmland, sometimes areas edging on the backcountry. There's a lot of variation in a country the size of Canada... enormous geography. I live in a valley with a population of about 5000. We're about a 50 minute drive from a city of 10,000.

In this valley, we have good schools - four locations for K-9, three for 9-12. A two-year community college and a trades school are also within a reasonably short drive (40-60 minutes, depending on your specific residential location). This is a reasonably common situation in southern British Columbia. Many of us have a bit of acreage surrounded by forest.

Other regions of Canada may be somewhat different, and certainly the further north one is located the longer the distances to the sorts of amenities I've mentioned. But most Canadians live somewhat near the 49th parallel. Sure we do need to manage snow in the winter, but our professional road crews help an awful lot with that. I had to learn a number of skills that people in cities and suburbs don't usually need, but I wouldn't call our life around here harsh.

The vote of no confidence is in the government, I presume?
Yes. The Liberals will deliver a Throne Speech, outlining their intended programs in March, and that will trigger a non confidence vote against the Liberal Government. Parliament will be dissolved, and a general election will ensue within 45 or 50 days. Because Canada maintains a Permanent Voter's List, the short campaign has little to no affect on the campaign time table.

The Liberals will have to hurry to select a new party leader, from the 5 or 6 people who have all ready expressed interest in trying to become the new leader. The other four Federal parties all ready have well known leaders who will lead their parties in the short Spring election campaign.

Voting in Canada is uncomplicated, with a one sheet ballot. Each of the local candidates names are on the ballot, with no party affiliation markings. Place your "X" in the circle next to your choice, place the ballot in the box, leave. Voters are expected to know which candidate is running for which party.

About 4 weeks before the voting day, each voter gets an information card through the mail which indicates the address of the polling place, and the hours that the polls are open. You bring the information card with you to the poll and show it to the polling place staff, who check the voter's name off the list, and give them a ballot. At the end of the day, the ballots are counted by the Elections Canada staff at each poll, and the information is sent electronically to the HQ of Elections Canada.

Election results in Canada are usually available around midnight of voting day. For a country that has six Time Zones that is amazing. JIM.
