Kentucky Derby this Saturday

Was a good race, yep deb I think Our pick got too tied up in the pack to break free when he need space.
My choosing game defiantly is off, well I don't follow them like I used to.

I recall that, regarding horse race betting, Nick the Greek said, "It helps to be drunk."...:)

When I lived in Hollywood I was friends with a Brit guy who was a successful horse handicapper-- actually made a living from it. He was a local legend, and many people bugged him for a tip, but he would never give one. I didn't care anything about betting on the ponies, so I never asked him a thing. That may have been why we stayed friends.

This beautiful moment amazed me. The two Ortis brothers coming in first and second going full speed on top of huge beasts and they both control their horses with one hand. Pound for pound jockeys must be the strongest men in the world. The one who won started to cry during his interview as he talked about how he wished his grandfather had lived to see it. It was a fine day for Puerto Rico.
