Kids Treasure Boxes

I can remember having some "treasure boxes" that contained things like my rock collection, a magnifying glass, and a pocket knife...
 

Cigar boxes made perfect treasure boxes! I can remember my father bringing empty ones home from news stands where he bought his daily newspaper to pass time on his train commute to NYC. The boxes were sturdy, had intriguing artwork, and still smelled faintly of the tobacco products they had recently held. My father gave some to me, and also used them himself for his own "treasures;" small tools, assorted screws and the like for his workshop...
 
yes I did' held all sorts of stuff ' beads for swooping at school ' ciggy cards from the pkts' and from comics
autograph book thinking one day i'le see a famous person ,buttons pearl ones from old jumpers /sweaters/
and free badges from school/ and lots of jewel stones and marbles big ones great days ..

Not many of my friends were into cows, milk and stuff but lots of us girls kept diaries. Sorry. I hate a smart azz, too :D

Not many of my friends were into cows and milk and stuff but lots of us kept diaries. Sorry, I hate a smart azz, too. :)
