Kim Jong-Un planning to Escape from North Korea

It's my understanding that famine has been the status-quo for the people of North Korea for ages.

They live extremely poorly there, but border authorities tend to turn a blind eye to the smuggling of food and basic needs from China. There are occasional arrests to "save face" though, like when rumors start to fly and they need to give the appearance of intolerance for criminal activity.

Assassinations seem to be routine in N. Korea and Kim orchestrated quite a few himself. He did seem to cozy up to Trump and reduced hostilities with the South. He might have been contemplating normalization with S. Korea and the generals prefer confrontation which gives them purpose.

Hmm. The desire for Glory. That's a possibility.

I think his sister is the most evil of the three North Korean dictators grandpa, dad and now Kim.

I agree. A female "Dear Leader" would be a tough sell to the Korean people, though. Farm animals are more revered than women by a long shot.

People out in the rural areas away from the cities have been starving to death literally since Korea split in to north and south. Those parts of the country are never filmed.

And yet, when you look at pictures of Kim Jong-Un, he's not exactly slim.
