Considering purchasing one. I have an iPad but too heavy for iBook reading for me, not to mention the glare, etc. looking at the Paperwhite. Good, bad?

My Paperwhite is my favorite possession. I have nothing negative to say about it. I have a cover for mine in a color that doesn't match anything in my house, so I can find it quickly if I misplace it. Naturally it is a color I dislike, but I don't even notice that any more.

I had a Paperwhite for awhile. I loved how light it was and made reading a pleasure. I just switched to a Kindle Fire because I wanted internet as well and I couldn't hook up to our local library on the Paperwhite.

Paperwhite is great. I don't use it everyday, maybe once every week or two - but just having your entire book library available in a package that weighs only a few ounces really makes it easy to read more books. I've read about six books this year compared to two last year.

I think my Kindle Fire is a 2nd Gen one. It's ok for reading books but I hate the Silk operating system forbthe web. It stalls, crashes, and is just a pain to use for the internet. I finally replaced it with a iPad Mini about 3 years ago and love it. As much as I usually like Amazon's products, the Fire has become an expensive Paperweight for the Internet part.
