"Royal fans are quick to notice the differences between King Charles and his late mother Queen Elizabeth, but according to the body language expert, Darren Stanton, the two sovereigns share similar traits."

"Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, Darren said: “Charles was brought up very much under the umbrella of all the royal protocols."

"I think even now, even though he’s mellowed when it comes to his willingness and ability to connect and show himself in a much more humanistic way to the press and public, there’s still a number of things he holds dear and will be with him to the end of his life."

"We don’t tend to see Charles breaking any of the royal protocols that his mother, our late Queen, laid out and that will be true of some of the other royals too like Princess Anne - those that were brought up in the midst of her reign will adhere to this."

“In terms of body language, Charles has a lot of the same traits the Queen had, like strong eye contact and the ability to build rapport."

Patrick Doyle was commissioned for the King Charles III Coronation March, which is among 12 new compositions for the ceremony that will see Charles and the Queen Consort crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

The 70-year-old, known for creating the music to films such as Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, Thor and Murder On The Orient Express, said he was "very inspired" by meeting the former Prince of Wales during the past few decades.

He said: "I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to propose a coronation march.

"The piece was written to commemorate his life, and having met him, having a strong personal, professional friendship with the King over the past 30 years, I subconsciously, unconsciously, build on aspects of his character, which hopefully he will hear reflected in the piece."

I like Charles in his 'twilight' years - all I see in body language and speech and thoughts tell me he is highly sincere - I have watched videos of Camilla and find her similar too - they are well suited and there is no reason in my mind why they will not make great King and Queen for quite some years unless Charles wants to hand it over to William sooner? This royal family is staying put apart from the obvious elephant in the room?

The Reverend Matthew Price, who has been vicar of Gorleston's Mary Magdalene church since 2018, was delighted and surprised when he received an invitation from Buckingham Palace, asking him to be a guest at the upcoming coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

"I received an email a few weeks ago so I knew it was coming, but I was blown away by the beauty of the invitation when it arrived — it's stunning!" Price tells PEOPLE from his family home in Gorleston, Norfolk (about three hours east of London). "The idea of being there in person is just extraordinary — it's a moment in history, something we haven't seen for 70 years!"

"Price, 45, has been invited to attend the historic event at Westminster Abbey on May 6 after becoming a British Empire Medal recipient, an honor he received in 2020 as a result of his tireless work in the community amid the COVID-19 pandemic."

The Staffordshire County Council has a special gift
for any babies born on that day

iu

On May 6, King Charles will have his coronation at Westminster Abbey, and millions will be watching his literal crowning moment from across the globe.

But that globe keeps on turning; the course of life can't be suspended for the crown. For most of the world, May 6 will be a normal day, where the sun rises and sets, meetings take place, dinners are made, and babies are born.

And for babies born in Staffordshire on that fateful day, they'll receive a unique birthday present to commemorate the confluence of life creation and coronation: a special mug to celebrate the new king.

The tradition, last practiced during Queen Elizabeth II's coronation day on June 2, 1953, will occur again nearly 70 years later. The babies born in Staffordshire on May 6—or really the parents of those babies—will receive a mug marking the coronation of King Charles on behalf of the Staffordshire County Council.

A team of sculptors have used an equivalent of 2,875 Celebrations chocolates to create a sweet, life-size sculpture of King Charles III

A bust of King Charles III made entirely from chocolate has been unveiled ahead of the coronation by sweets brand Celebrations. The sculpture took 130 hours to make and weighs over 23 kilograms.

Created by a team of sculptors and led by master chocolatier Jennifer Lindsey-Clarke, the life-size model was made to celebrate the upcoming coronation. The team carefully analysed footage of the King to capture his likeness, forming the monarch out of an equivalent of 2,875 Celebrations chocolates.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Chris Hipkins will be in attendance at the coronation, and last week, Hipkins revealed what his government back home will be doing to honor King Charles's day of ascendancy. The New Zealand Herald reports:

"This morning Hipkins announced a donation of $1 million to Trees That Count, which will work with the Department of Conservation and community groups to plant over 100,000 native trees in He Rā Rākau Tītapu - King Charles III Coronation Plantings."

Not only does a gift like this benefit the country giving it, but by adding lush greenery to the land, and not squandering their funds on a lavish, extravagant physical gift, it's also in line with Charles's stated values.

Charles is an avid gardener, but he's also very passionate about environmental protection, and actually has been for decades, from speaking out against plastic pollution in the 1970s to recently stating at the United Nations COP26 climate conference that the world needs to take a "war-like footing" to tackle climate change.

"The donation will create a living legacy to benefit all New Zealanders, provide more resilience against climate change, and aligns with King Charles’s lifelong interest in environmental conservation," Prime Minister Hipkins said of the coronation gift.

"The coronation of King Charles III will not just be celebrated in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Many around the world will take to the internet or television to watch history happen."

"Some in Wooster aim to celebrate the crowning event across two events, both hosted by the nonprofit Connection Conference and Event Center at 1034 County Club Drive. These events will support West View, a faith-based continuous-care retirement community in Wooster by funding religious services, activities and more, according to a press release from the event center."

"A Dinner Fit for a King is a five-course meal that will start at 6 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the event center. As the title implies, it aims to serve up a British meal fit for the king himself, according to the event press release."

"The meal will kick off with two British classics, a Welsh rarebit and Yorkshire pudding. The former dates back to the 1500s and consists of a heavy three-cheese sauce served over toast. The latter is called a popover in America. It's made with unsweetened egg batter and baked in the oven."

"Looking back seven decades to Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, the soup will be callaloo, the national soup of the former British colonies of Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago."

"It is made with leafy vegetables, coconut milk, salted meats, yams, onions, peppers, green bananas and flour and cornmeal dumplings."

"The entree might be the king's favorite dish, according to the press release. It is lamb with mushroom risotto, English asparagus and hollandaise sauce. For dessert is another of Charles' favorites, a light lemon creme."
