Charles and his wife Camilla were greeted with big cheers Sunday as they arrived at the coronation concert in Windsor, England.

Actor Hugh Bonneville, the concert's host, opened the show by recognizing Charles' "lifelong passion for the arts." Bonneville got a quick laugh from Charles when he referred to the king as "the artist formerly known as prince."

Music star Lionel Richie performed his hit songs Sunday night in front of royalty.Richie played the piano and sang his hit song "Easy (Like Sunday Morning)" in front of a crowd of thousands, including Charles, Camilla, William and Kate. He then got up and danced as he sang another hit song, "All Night Long (All Night)."

William, the heir to the throne, honored his father with a speech recognizing Charles' decades of service to others and to the planet. William was met by loud cheers when he took the stage in front of Windsor Castle.

He honored his father's service, noting the pledge of service Charles gave at Saturday's coronation as well as the "over 50 years of service" he devoted before becoming king.

Kate Middleton's Parents Are Reportedly Going to Play This Major Role in King Charles III's Reign

"Not only does Prince William have a new role now that King Charles III has officially been crowned, two members of Kate Middleton’s family are reportedly stepping up to help out at the palace. Carole and Michael Middleton, the Princess of Wales’ parents, might be pitching in around Adelaide Cottage as Kate and William take on more royal duties."

Charles wears full regalia in the shot, including The Robe of Estate and The Imperial State Crown, and is holding the Sovereign’s Orb and Sovereign’s Sceptre with Cross. Charles is seated on one of a pair of 1902 throne chairs that were made for the future King George V and Queen Mary for use at the Coronation of King Edward VII.

It seems to be a great shame that she must have been in a whiskers length of helping Meghan to settle into a new role and there were moments when it appeared to be working but Harry and Meghan I personally think they decided to set their own directions and were not seemingly willing to compromise with the much bigger machine which is their family = the Royal Family. The incidence of 'someone' "mentioning about the color of a babies skin" was unfortunate and inappropriate but it has happened in my own family and we dealt with it sympathetically but also with chiding [there's an old word not used often enough perhaps?] and forgiveness - my younger family members are all the colors of the rainbow. Harry and Meghan perhaps haven't sufficient skills in compromise?

Great oportunities missed in my estimation possibly for ever - what a shame?

"Young was Queen Elizabeth's principal private secretary from 2017 until her death, in the most senior position within the monarch's working household. Young controlled the royal diary, oversaw important events, and was the primary liaison point for the private secretaries of other royal households (such as the Prince of Wales')."

"On Monday, it was announced that upon Young's retirement, King Charles has granted him a peerage, made him a Lord-in-Waiting, and appointed him a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath and a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order."

"With his peerage, Sir Edward Young becomes Lord Young and will take a seat in the House of Lords, the upper house of the British parliamentary system. He will be able to vote to pass or veto laws put through by the House of Commons."

"Upon the announcement of his retirement from royal service on Monday, the 56-year old said: "I am honoured to have served two sovereigns through historic times, and grateful for all the support and friendship of colleagues along the way. Welsh actor and singer Luke Evans, 43, this week spoke of the new monarch’s natural ability to "find a common ground" with whoever he talks to.

"He’s an honorary Welshman to us too, and has been a wonderful representative of our country," Evans told Good Morning Britain in September.

Evans narrated ITV’s 2019 programme Charles: 50 Years A Prince and said that his work as an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust has enabled him to meet the King "several times" over the last decade. "It’s always been a very enjoyable experience I have to say," he added.

"I think that’s one thing you notice when you’re with King Charles: his company. It doesn’t matter what walk of life you’re from, what age you are, he finds a common ground, and makes you feel that you deserve to be there."

The King and Queen Consort seemed pleased to meet two 8-year-old kids who share their first names.

Outside the cathedral, the King and Queen met schoolchildren — including two students with the same first names! Camilla Nowawakowska and Charles Murray, both 8, festively accessorized with paper crowns to meet the royal couple, which charmed Queen Camilla.

King Charles' five-day visit to Romania to end in the Transylvanian town of Viscri

"King Charles' five-day visit to Romania is set to conclude on Tuesday, June 6, with a visit to the Transylvanian village of Viscri."

"Britain's King Charles III arrived in Bucharest on Friday afternoon, June 2, where he was welcomed by president Klaus Iohannis at the Cotroceni Palace. At the reception in Bucharest, the king said he has "always felt rather at home in Romania" in reference to his links to the infamous Vlad the Impaler through his great-grandmother Queen Mary."

" Afterwards, as the visit was largely private, the king preferred to stay at the house in Valea Zălanului and take short walks in nature. Tourists came to the area from all parts of the country to speak with His Majesty. They offered him traditional delicacies, which Charles graciously accepted as he spoke with them."

"King Charles was received by locals and children with flowers and "welcome" messages when he arrived in Valea Zălanului, where he owns three guesthouses that are 100 years old and that he has restored. He visits the small village, home to just 120 inhabitants, located in the county of Covasna, as often as he can."
