Kings Canyon is a canyon in the Northern Territory of Australia located at the western end of the George Gill Range about 323 kilometres southwest of Alice Springs and about 1,316 kilometres south of Darwin within the Watarrka National Park.

Love this place, the colours are amazing.

Aunt Marg, we took 12 months to travel right around and never saw a snake once except as road kill. But when we were at Uluru, enjoying a drink at sunset, three dingoes slowly loped through the campground, it was a great outback experience.

I loved Kings canyon better than Uluru ,we climbed right to to top of KC seen the beautiful garden and sea shells in bedded in the solid stone ..that was 2005 when we were much younger and fitter ,I was fascinated how the sea shells got there cause there’s no water there or around.
I think from memory KC walls are about 300 foot high in places.

We seen a couple of white camels there as well one in the wild and one the camel farm had just
“ caught “ they had it in a strong steel yard and it was roaring like a loin.

We seen lots of huge wild cats and one dingo on the road between KC and Uluru.
