I think the kitchen may be my favorite room in the house ... it's the heart of a home to me. Even though we have a dining room, I prefer our eat-in kitchen for meals.

I like older style kitchens over anything very modern or futuristic. The retro-style kitchen I think look neat when you have the appliances to go with it. Some of the best kitchen are when they fit the style of the house.

Post pictures whether it's artwork or a photo. You can include storage pantries, butler pantries, islands or anything you think would be good in a kitchen.

I will probably never have one of these kitchens in my life.....how sad for me...lol

As the cook, the one thing I want to see is the kitchen triangle. That seems to have disappeared in some of these monstrous homes. Moving back and forth with efficiency is my goal.

PS. I covet a monstrous fridge, preferably a Sub Zero.

@Capt Lightning, is your stove an Aga?
Yes and no. It's an AGA Rangemaster which is a brand of AGA making electric and dual fuel cookers. This is mine. It has two ovens, a separate grill and 5 cooking rings in a ceramic hob.

Really nice cupboards - colour and style. Very nice stove. Where is your fridge?
Thanks, the cupboard doors are solid maple 'Shaker style' - the kitchen has a 'U' layout and the fridge and freezers are off to the right of the picture.

We were seriously looking at having a traditional Aga many years ago & would have had to rearrange the layout. The deal breaker was that we couldn't have it running all year around with our weather. It would have been great in winter.

I like the one you have @Capt Lightning. I would love to have two ovens in the kitchen. Right now I have a second stove (my original) hooked up in my basement that I use during holidays & canning season. Basically, I have a small second kitchen.

I've had one dual fuel stove with a LP gas cook top & electric oven which was very nice. The one thing I don't want is an all electric. I used one that we had at work & found out real quick that I couldn't control the burners like I could gas & didn't ever get used to it.
