I think is a good use for a corner space when remodeling a kitchen on a budget instead of having a lazy susan base or what they call a blind cabinet. I've had the lazy susan which things fell off on & always in the back & the house my SIL lived in had a blind cabinet which half of it can't be seen or reached. What do you think?

I have a galley kitchen in my current house (from two angles). These were the photos on the realtor listing so most of the accessories are gone. I also replaced the fridge with the one I had at the old house which is white because I like the freezer on the bottom. Everything is electric, so if there's a power outage, I can't cook or bake. At the old hose I had an LP stove which could be lighted manually in an emergency.

@debodun, can you have a gas line put in for your stove? I grew up on with a gas stove & have one now. I didn't cook on an electric stove until they put one in for us at work which was the only thing possible. My MIL replaced her gas stove with an electric one & hubby hated it.

They're starting to eliminate gas stoves in parts of Ohio. The new builds are almost all electric. I grew up with a gas stove and burned a lot of things when I first had an electric one. These days, I have a new electric stove with burners that have 11 or 12 settings on each dial called everything from "melt" to "simmer" to "high." They might as well all be called "raging boil." I've just learned to take things on and off the burner as needed, I might as well be cooking on an open fire in the backyard.

But I ain't complainin'! Thanks for the reminder of what women used to deal with, @Dr.Colosso!

That sounds like a builders choice on the stoves going cheap. My SIL was in a house with an electric stove & they ran a gas line into the house a few years ago to switch it out.
