Kodak Camera Suddenly Crashing Computer

It's and old camera (Kodak Z100) and computer, but it worked fine until a few days ago. When I try to open the Easy Share program, it blanks out my screen. I tried deleting some of my old albums and clearing the cameras memory. Unfortunately, Easy Share is the only photo editing program I have and know it works with Windows 7.

I have a Kodak Z series camera put away in a drawer. Still have the dock too. Software needs Windows 7 or older. I bought it in 2005 at Costco. Great camera for its time. Took it deep into the jungles of Central America and got some cool shots of wildlife. Only complaint was the 5MP resolution. That’s why I replaced it.

Some file has been corrupted in the program. See if you can find the program download online and reinstall. You could also try the troubleshooter and the compatibility applications first. Good luck, these rarely work for me.

I was thinking about this and remembered I got rid of the dock when I got a newer laptop. I used the SD card reader instead. I remember that dock as problematic.

And when you do that, does your computer map a drive letter to it that you can see in the File Explorer? If so can you then access the files on the camera?

When I turn the camera on, everything on the screen goes blank.
