Low and behold in Korea there is only ONE bathroom for all labor Koreans. Don't know the lay out is as I never had the need to visit......
But, I think Hotels might have MALE/FEMALE due to tourist business...........never stayed at a hotel, so not sure....

I am not quite sure what you mean by "...all labor Koreans." But, if you mean Koreans of all sexes use a common bathroom then I'd say hooray for them.

Too bad we in the United States are not so mature to do the same. As I recall from my history books this would not be the first time a society used common bathrooms. The mighty Roman Empire did the same. And, also used common baths publicly.

It would take a giant leap in our western culture to achieve that, I think.

Many businesses nowadays have single user restrooms available. A person goes in, locks the door, does their thing and leaves, no problem.

If you had to share a bathroom with women at a restaurant can you imagine the line you would be in just waiting to wash your hands. And for those guys who do not wash their hands they would have to endure nasty stares from the women. No, I like not having women in the restrooms it can be bad enough at home even with each bedroom in y house, having it's own sink and mirror.

I am not so sure that men wash their hands less frequently than women. I've never seen what women do. But, I have noticed that the frequency with which men wash their hands is becoming more and more common.
