Walmart has Hallowe'en costumes. Home Depot and Lowe's have their Hallowe'en decorations out. Give it another week until the Christmas stuff shows up.

There have already been recipes online for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Sounds like you're reusing the old hat and broom and not buying more.

I'm not buying more holiday stuff, not for any holiday. I gave tons of stuff away when I moved here and I'm getting ready to get rid of more. This was a great time of year to remind me!

I really like my hat because it fits so nicely over the point on the top of my head.

As for my broom, I do my own service. It usually doesn't need much more than just a little Eye of Newt every season. Not to worry...I have a two-year certificate from a tech school certifying that I know what to do.

Can't blame the retailers because that's what keeps the economy humming. There is always something to separate people from their money.

I got rid of the last of my decorations back in 2016. Can't be bothered! Been there, done that!

I was in the garage this morning looking for an empty tote. Didn't find one but did find enough decorations to adorn at least two more houses for every holiday! Told DD we should have a yard sale with just holiday decorations. I bet we'd make bank, especially if we do it within the two or three weeks. Make money, clear out garage: win/win.

We were in Lowe's yesterday, and they're all set for Hallowe'en, with some generic autumn stuff and a few Thanksgiving decorations thrown for good measure. Whoa! That stuff is spendy! We haven't been in Walmart in a week or two, but I'll bet money that they have the Christmas stuff out.

And the holiday recipes continue to abound online.

This is a sad reflection on commercialism and our society as a whole. With all this "phony" talk about making the planet sustainable and making the planet green, it's "business as usual" when it comes to massive nonessential spending, maxing out on credit cards and filling up the landfills. Shame, shame, shame! I guess that talk is cheap!
