Labor Day weekend and first day of classes in school tomorrow. Where did the summer go?

School typically stars here the Thursday after Labor Day. They have two days of what is termed "Superintendent Conferences" before school officially opens. Sounds like an excuse to have two more days off to me.

Too amny moving here do not understand the laws, and cannot READ signs …. yet they are out there driving.

I spent years as a drive-thru bank teller in the 1980's and I was constantly amazed at the ordinary looking people who had driver's licenses even though they could not read and signed their checks with an X, some couldn't grasp why they couldn't have money even though they still had checks in their checkbook -- yet they were out there driving. Drive defensively folks, you never know who's in that other car.
