Has anyone had luck or gotten a receipt breaking down the pricing on a pair of eye glasses including the price of the frames, lenses and coatings? I can't get a straight answer or breakdown of the pricing from anyone before or after the sale. I bought glasses that were 75$ more than expected(thought it was expensive UV and scratch coatings) and they said it was the anti glare coating which I did not order. They could not show me on a computer or receipt the breakdown of pricing. My original order receipt just showed glasses and price. I understand there is fine print and/or exclusions on most sales but they couldn't explain them.
The optician said the package pricing they use is too complicated for the customer to understand and too complex to reprogram their registers to print a receipt breaking down the cost-huh?
I was told make sure you get UV protection on regular glasses as well as sunglasses .(don't need a dark lense for UV protection either)
Make sure you read the fine print on an eye glass sale and try to get a breakdown on the frames, lenses(different types), lense coatings(several types) and costs on expedited service, some charge extra for having them ready in three days. And if a frame doesn't fit ask if they have different sizes in that frame or if they could order it.
I like to see what I'm getting into even when buying eye glasses.
