Laid to rest

I wanted to be cremated and tossed out to sea, but, lately I have given thought to having my ashes in an urn and being laid in my mothers grave site in NC where my siblings now rest. That thought has a very comforting appeal lately, but, might not be as convenient for the person responsible for the person I've left with instructions for my final wishes, though if things go as they are presently looking to I might have to designate someone else and I might not get any of my wishes final met. :(

Both my husband and I are going to be cremated and don't have any specific wishes about disposal of the ashes. Since we both love nature, they will probably fly in the wind at a scenic spot.

If my husband wants burial I'd like to be next to him. He hasn't decided. Otherwise cremate and sprinkle my ashes in one of many spots of beauty here, maybe seas or mountains.

All arrangements have been made to be buried in the family plot. I picked out a nice "Chevy" for a coffin rather than a "caddy" and left sweatshirt and sweatpants at the home that they store until the time comes...

Probably would have preferred cremation. My wife, however, has purchased us plots in a local cemetary and want's standard/typical burial. At that point in time, I won't have much to say about whatever decisions are made. So... whatever the family wants to do with me.

I do worry a little about the embalming/funeral home experience. The local funeral director is a golfing buddy. He has threatened to do some "artwork" where it cannot be seen. And, he's younger than I so may get the chance!!! :>)

myself and my wife are to be cremated then buried in a national VA cemetery
