Taken on my iPhone this morning from my downstairs deck. My daughter is coming tomorrow to help me put a free- standing hammock together and buy some outdoor furniture. I just got 2 renters for the season, each staying for a week in June and July. That was fast! Hallelujah!! 2CC95E9D-0328-46A6-9C08-33D8A146BBEA.jpeg

I love the Rainbow Girl's mellow voices. Good find @Meanderer

@hearlady ...you could be right about Martha's Vineyard or maybe Cape Cod.
There are quite a few beach houses around Emerald Isle NC that have copied that style

Here's another group of gals on their porch singing in harmony....
"Helplessly Hoping by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Love the song, their voices, and their smiles...

When I had been dating my girlfriend for a few years, she wanted me to propose to her. We were in my little car and she pointed up to the sky and said...

"If I wish upon that star, will you make my dreams come true?"

I drove home that night and penned this...

Well she always wears a smile
Under green eyes faded blue
As she lays down there beside me
And whispers 'I love you'

Won't you tell me all your troubles
You know I've got some too
If we spend a little time
We can work things through

And sometimes I wonder could you be anymore beautiful
Still I wonder could you be anymore beautiful...to me.

If I wished upon a Star
Would you make my dreams come true
Or will you live your life promising
Those empty words 'I do'

They say love can't wait forever
Believe you me I've tried
Tell me we will be together
And never question why

And sometimes I wonder could you be anymore beautiful
Still I wonder could you be anymore beautiful...to me.

Front Porch Music in West Virginia

Summer Fling

Music visits the old porch and swing
Friends gather ‘round for a warm summer fling
Fiddles and giggles and sipping sweet tea
Beneath the Magnolia tree's gentle leaves

Storytellers share as their best be told,
With each passing moment, memories unfold,
A sonnet of moments, cherished and dear,
Etched in our hearts, forever held near.
