Largest Cruise Ship Ever, Construction Pictures

The largest cruise ship ever is being built by Royal Caribbean. Looks like a fantasy land. Why bother taking a cruise if one doesn't want a land vacation. I saw a room in the photos with a brick wall. Really, a cruise is supposed to get one away from land, not have constant reminders of daily life-or is it. I want to see ship, live a life at sea minus sea sickness. I want to see the ocean, waves, sun, weather etc at sea. So what, one sees a few pipes while on a cruise. I don't want to see IBM headquarters.

Looks like an engineering marvel and feat. But is it really necessary

We much prefer smaller ships. When a ship pulls into port and there are more tourists than locals it spoils the trip.

We see those gigantic cruise ships near where we live. They are amazing to see but I'll never be a passenger on one. No way.

My sister wants to do a river cruise so we've agreed to that during the summer of 2017. It will be a smaller boat. But we'll never do an ocean cruise. Stuck on a ship with thousands. Nightmare.

Wife and I were fortunate to have cruised on the Freedom of the Seas ship for a week. If one got bored on this monster, it was their own fault. Something going on all the time and the ice skating shows were outstanding.
I would like to take a trip up the Mississippi River before I get too old. Those old (new) paddle boats are something else.
